Conceived by and starring New York pop musician Todd Alsup, the show combines video, tracking elements and historical multimedia clips with 20 of George Michael's most unforgettable hits, taking audiences on an uplifting and emotional journey through his complicated life.
Freedom premiered at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown in summer 2022 and was such a runaway hit it ran for a second, equally successful, season in 2023. This breakthrough show has played at The Palm in Puerto Vallarta, City Winery Hudson Valley, and Viften Cultural Center in Copenhagen.

TECH REHEARSAL
FREEDOM: The Michael George Experience uses pre-recorded tracks, all of which are tied to video content. QLAB is used to ensure smooth running order. A minimum of 2-hour tech rehearsal is required.
VIDEO ENHANCEMENT
FREEDOM tells a portion of its story through video content. A minimum of one large digital screen at the back of the stage is required. The show is greatly enhanced by the use of multiple screens around the venue.
INTIMATE SETTING
FREEDOM works best in a club-like space with capacity between 75-150. Ideal stage setup includes a catwalk and various pathways for the artist to venture into and through the house.
